What is the neurofabulous Accelerator?
The Neurofabulous Accelerator is a dynamic, supportive container that harnesses the power of collaborative conversation, mutual support, and ADHD coaching. Members of this program learn and apply practices and actionable tools to work with their unique wiring (rather than against it) to make substantial progress in the realm of personal development and professional development and make progress toward achieving their big life goals.
group Program structure/timeline & How to apply
How do I join the program?
First, CLICK HERE to fill out the application and pay the US$100 application fee.
Note: We will accept applications to join the next cohort (for August 2023) from Thursday, June 29 through Monday, July 10, 2023.
Within 2-3 business days of submitting your application, you will hear back from us either way about whether the program is a fit for you based on our careful review of your application.
If you are invited to officially join Neurofabulous, your application fee will be applied toward the total group program fee. Your initial payment must be submitted within 24 business hours (one full business day) of the acceptance notification email.
If it turns out that the program is not a good fit for you, we will initiate a refund of the $100 application fee the same day that we notify you by email.
When is the next date that I can join?
The next cohort runs from August to November.
Applications will open on Thursday, June 29th.
when are the live sessions?
The days and times that the live group sessions are offered will be determined by group participants' availability and scheduling needs. We will do our best to be as flexible and accommodating as possible. The schedule of “live” sessions will be announced on or before July 12th.
You will have access to 12 weekly live group sessions (60-75 mins each) and two 30-minute 1:1 coaching sessions across the three months of the program. Recordings of the live sessions will be made available to participants who let us know in advance that they will be unable to attend.
how much time can will I be spending on the group program outside of sessions?
Coaching-related activities and reflection that you carry out between sessions are “coaching fieldwork” — rather than homework. You can expect to spend 1-3 hours per week on coaching fieldwork, outside of our live coaching sessions. This includes several foundational assessments (and any reports about your results generated by assessment organizations, when applicable) and a weekly digital “fieldwork guidebook”. The 12 weekly guidebooks include video and audio files, weekly reflection questions and experiments, and fillable PDF resources.
Foundational Principles of neurofabulous
"Company is stronger than willpower" (Jonathan Foust)
Self-acceptance and self-compassion are foundational for successful behaviour change.
People who are neurodivergent are uniquely creative and resourceful.
The power of persistence is more effective than the expectation of being (or somehow magically becoming) perfectly consistent.
Community Care and Radical Self-Responsibility are symbiotic and complementary in combination.
"Perfectionism is the voice of the oppressor" (Anne Lamott). We operate based on Wholeness and Progress, NOT perfection.
Who is a good fit for this program?
This program is a particularly good fit for ambitious people who are neurodivergent (have been diagnosed with ADHD or have “ADHD tendencies”), in addition to multiple, overlapping areas of their identity and life experience that fall outside (or sit on the margins of) dominant societal and cultural norms. Not aligning with the aforementioned norms could pertain to gender, relationship structure or style, sexuality, career/occupation/work, body/physical appearance, immigration status, or all of the above.
This program is a good fit for:
people who are driven-but-easily-distractable
creatives/visionaries who struggle with planning, organization, and implementation
humans who are reliably ambitious but don’t feel reliably motivated
people who are called to challenge and subvert the status quo, thereby leaving this world better than they found it
folks who want to take charge of undergoing a major life transition of some sort
business owners, freelancers, and ADHD-ish entrepreneurs who want to find ways to sustainably maintain and grow their businesses, and those who desire to start and run their own businesses
people who are willing and ready to invest time and energy to engage in the group sessions, carry out coaching fieldwork between sessions, and make strides toward achieving their goals.
This program is NOT a good fit if you…
have major complex or developmental trauma that has not been addressed with support from a mental health professional who specializes in trauma therapy. If that’s the case, I recommend investing in trauma therapy before taking part in coaching, so that coaching will be more effective for you. If you are currently participating in trauma therapy, and have been for at least a few months, you are welcome to take part in coaching.
aren’t willing to engage in creative problem-solving and be resourceful.
are actually interested in 1:1 coaching, but have decided to “settle” for group coaching because it’s cheaper.
abhor social justice.
are socially or politically conservative.
are not comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people — group members are diverse in dimensions such as age, race, ethnicity, national origin, citizenship/migrant status, sexuality, gender, religion, spirituality, and occupation (e.g. we support sex workers’ rights here).
